Reflection Journal # 5

My idea for the animation was to create an advertisement for Poland Spring. The reason why I picked Poland spring is because its easier to make the effect to the pictures and add a little bit of writing to my animation. The tween option is when you want to give text, opacity, position, etc. in between frames that you created. The most important thing that you should know about the first frame when editing an animation is that you should make sure if the animation starts the way you want. The limitations that you can do in photoshop is that you can add effects to the picture and text like inner glow, outer glow, shadow, text warp, and more. In order to give an image to an image is

Project # 5...

In order to do this project,You need to create an advertisment using animation in Photoshop. The first thing I did was create layers for my ad, which I picked the Poland spring water. After I got all the layers that I need, I started to give some effects to the layers. For the two text layers and the picture, I used opacity.

Animation

An animation is a sequence of images that go fast in order to make an illusiuon of movement. There are different kinds of animations. There are computer animation, clay animation, traditional animation, 2-d and 3-d animation. The type of animation that I would do is a 2-d animation because its simple and easier. Its also fun when you get to draw your own drawings and turn them into an animation. This is the kind of animation that I would like to do.

Applying Filters...

For this lab, I needed to get a picture and appy different filters in the picture. As you can see, I picked a photo of Omar Brave, One of the soccer players in the Mexican team. I dupilcated his picture 4 time and got a different photo of him. For the first one, I liquified the photo by using the twist tool. The second photo, I filtered the photo and turned it into colored pencil. I did the same steps as the second photo and picked different filters like photocopy, Glowing Edges,Diffuse Glow and Radial Blur. I also changed the background color by using render in the filter tab. This is how I was able to apply filters to the photos.

Project # 4....

In order to do this project, I needed to get a picture of a halloween chararcter. My character that i picked is Dracula. Then i had to get 8 pictures that represent my character. When i got all the pictures, i made a copy of Dracula and cut out the picture and started to put the 8 pictures in the cutout. Next, I made a path around the cutout and typed a message around the out which says "The Vampire that never dies." Last but not least, I created a color layer so that it would be easier to read the message. This is how you create a silhouette Using Photoshop.

Using The Clone Tool...

In order to use the clone tool, you need to select a place in the picture that you want to cover up. In the bottom left corner of the picture, that part of the picture was ripped. I selected part of the grass by holding the Alt key and then covered the ripped part of the picture. I did the same thing with the sprinkers that were next to the statue. I used the clone tool to cover up the sprinkers. Thats how you use the clone tool in photoshop.

Picture Frame

For this lab, I had to create a picture frame Using photoshop. The shape that I used to create this picture frame is the rectangle tool which helped me to make this frame. I also use different symbols to decorate the frame. The Reason why I picked these colors (Blue, Green, Yellow, Red) is because they are my favorite colors and it looks good for a picture frame. I would make this frame better by adding more symbols and choosing a different color to make it better. The shapes are not that difficult to use because you just drag the shape and try to make it like a picture frame.

Reflection Journal

So far i learned many things in photoshop. One of the things that i learned in photoshop is how to use the mask tool. The mask tool makes the picture turn red which you can erase or add color in order to select a part of a picture. The red color in mask tool stands for the part that you select to delete or take out. The black color stands for the foreground and the white color stands for the background. The only tool that i used in mask mode is the brush tool which helped me select the part of the image that i wanted. Also that it helped me cover up the parts of the image that i didn't want which made it easier for me.The adjustment layers helped my image to look better with some of the effects that i added to the image. It also helps to catch the persons attention with the effects that the image has. I think that I find the mask tool easier that the lasso tool because in mask mode, you just color in the part of the image that you don't want and just select the part of the image that you want. With the lasso tool, It takes a long time to select the part of the image that you want. This is how i learned to use the mask tool in photoshop.

Hue, Saturation, and light

For this lab, i had to get a picture and change the hue and saturation of that picture. I picked a car becaues its easier and simple to do. First, I duplicated the original picture into 4 layers. For the first picture, I decreased the saturation and the picture turned gray. The second picture I increased the saturation of the picture which changed the colors of the picture. The third picture, I selected the car and changed it to my favorite color(Black). Finally For the forth picture, I increases the hue to the picture and turned the car yellow. This is how it would look like if you use hue and saturation to your pictures/photos.

Photo of Chef Melon Head...

In order for me to do this picture, I use adobe photoshop CS3. I got photos of fruits/vegtables and for each fruit/ vegetable, I had to cut them out. I also had to create a layer for each Fruit/vegetable. When I was done cutting each photo out, I started to make a face using this photos with some of the tools. The tools I used to create this picture were the magic wand tool, the lasso tool, the Marqee tool, the selection tool, and the crop tool. My favorite tool that I used was the magic wand because its easier to select the photo and cut them out. This is how I made this face by using Adobe photoshop.
